Condensation Control

The presence of condensation can often be mistaken for rising damp. Condensation is the result of warm humid air from the interior of the building condensing as it comes into contact with cold walls.

Example of Condensation

Condensation results in the presence of mould growth and musty smells within the home.

The moisture evaporating into the atmosphere from showering, washing, drying clothes, etc, creates condensation. It is estimated that one person can create up to four pints of moisture per day.

Anglian Tectonics are agents for Nuaire Home Ventilation Systems and can provide specially designed units for the control of condensation. These units provide positive input ventilation, which will ensure that old, contaminated vapour laden air within the home is continuously diluted, displaced and replaced with good quality air. This will provide an environment in which condensation dampness can no longer exist.
